Alicia and I had a good, but busy weekend.  On Friday we went to see The Glory of Living which was put on by Second Thought Theatre Group.  I’ll write a formal review tomorrow or one Wednesday.  The quick review is the play was well done.  The subject matter was very disturbing and thought provoking.  Then on Saturday, we went to Austin with Alicia’s sister and brother-in-law to go the UT / Baylor game.  UT won, but I was concerned about the defense giving up so many points.  We went to Trudy’s for dinner before the game.  Trudy’s is an Austin institution.  The food was good.  I had one spinach enchilada and one mushroom enchilada.  We went to Amy’s Ice Cream (another Austin institution) after the game.  The ice cream rocks there.  I had malted vanilla with Reese Peanut Butter Cup mixin.  If you have not had it before think of Cold Stone or Marble Slab, but about 100 times better.  We drove back to Dallas after Amy’s.  It was a night game so we got back to Dallas around 2.

On Sunday we slept in till noon.  Wow, we were tired.  It was nice, but I could not get to asleep on Sunday night till almost 1.  That evening we watch Super Size Me.  Alicia had not seen it before; I had seen it about a year ago.  We are both fans of Morgan Spurlock’s series based on Super Size Me called Thirty Days.  She really enjoyed it.  After the movie, we decided we would do a version of Thirty Days.  We are going to give up restaurants for 30 days.  We will not eat out or get take out for thirty days after this weekend.  This will save us money and be a lot healthier.  I will post the rules and my starting weight before we start.

We cannot start the no restaurant thing till after this weekend this we are going to go to San Antonio and Seguin this weekend.  We are going to have another busy week and weekend.  We have Alicia’s birthday tomorrow (Tuesday).  Happy Birthday Alicia!  On Wednesday, we have Cowboy Mouth at the Granada here in Dallas.  Then Thursday, we are driving down to Seguin.  On Friday, I am having lunch with my old colleagues at my first company, and then Friday night we are going to see Covenant (a Swedish EBM band) in San Antonio at The White Rabbit.  We’ll driving back on Saturday after having lunch with Alicia’s Mom.
